On the last page, the group...I agree with Matthew. On the last page, the group has found a day care center looking room with children's skeletal remains. I don't think it has any thing to do with finding Modeus but is some sort of reminder or shrine that the Plutonian has kept. Like the fact that the Plutonian's refuge is located in an active volcano, Waid's again paying homage, in a negative, Bizarro sort of way, to the well established Superman mythos.
