As I work in a tort field, I know that settlements don't mean anything in regard to the veracity of the charges. It's often more cost effective to settle than to fight it out, even if you think you'll win. So the settlements mean nothing to me.

I still find it much more disturbing that the poll shows so many people don't think the charges are of note, regardless of their "truth".Thommhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17179697516506456548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33311991.post-11948245119743551252011-11-13T20:46:42.495-05:002011-11-13T20:46:42.495-05:00I think that "allegations" aren't re...I think that "allegations" aren't really allegations if his company paid off two different women to stop a sexual harassment lawsuit.Shawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03026335818721649588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33311991.post-16004516947962751352011-11-13T12:27:10.313-05:002011-11-13T12:27:10.313-05:00My interpretation of polls such as the one you quo...My interpretation of polls such as the one you quote is that voters have accepted allegations like these as being par for course for any politician, Democrat or Republican. The allegations aren't serious nor do they make a difference in picking a candidate, since any candidate who looks like they're ahead will attract some sort of allegation (sexual harassment, financial improprieties, racism, etc.). If the allegations were to become something more, then the results of a similar poll would (I like to think) be different.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
