Jim: LOL. The aborted re-launch of The Authority is going to be finished by a different creative team. I wonder how far Morrison plotted this thing. Could be interesting or could be a mess.
Gwen: No more Grant Morrison! I am Morrisoned out =/
Lee: I guess if Ultimate Hulk v. Wolverine can finish then this can finish too. Even if it is a bit odd to have a whole new creative team. After the ridiculous Wildstorm relaunch, I can't imagine this will sell very well at all.

VICTORIAN UNDEAD #1Written by Ian Edginton Art by Davide Fabbri Cover by Tony Moore Variant cover by Simon Coleby Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth. Can a plague of Biblical proportions be far behind for Victorian London? And who or what is behind the resurrection of these ravenous revenants? From renowned writer Ian Edginton (STORMWATCH: PHD) and acclaimed international artist Davide Fabbri (Star Wars) comes the first chapter in an incredible new 6-issue Sherlock Holmes adventure! Featuring a cover by original Walking Dead artist Tony Moore! On Sale November 18 • 1 of 6 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US
Jim: This book marks my limit for Zombies. Walking Dead great, first Marvel Zombie series, a lot of fun, Blackest Night going well, Victorian Zombies please stop.
Gwen: I'm actually saddened by all the recent Sherlock Holmes interperations. I feel like these people haven't even read the Sherlock Holmes stories and just base their Holmes characters off of other people's versions in the first place. At best they're ignorant of the parent work, at worst they are mocking some great stories.
Lee: I’m not burnt out yet! It appears that Zombies are no more a fad than Superheroes are. Zombies are here to stay. Yahoooooo. Anyway, Edginton has done good stories in the past so there’s a chance it will be good. The premise is good enough to check out for me.

THE CHILL HC Written by Jason Starr Art by Mick Bertilorenzi Cover by Lee Bermejo Starr has a hard-edged style that is clean, cold and extremely chilling. Marilyn Stasio, The New York TimesIt's summer in New York, but a chill has settled over the city a serial killer is on the loose, and the ritualized murders are becoming increasingly sadistic. The NYPD and the FBI have a suspect: a gorgeous young woman named Arlana. The only problem is that every witness provides a different description of her. None of it makes any sense to anyone except Martin Cleary, a beaten-down Irish cop from Boston with a whopper of a secret in his past and a past that may go back a century or two . . .Advance-solicited; on sale January 6 • 192 pg, 5.5 x 8 , B&W, $19.99 US MATURE READERS
Jim: I love this concept, but wish the format was a little larger.
Lee: I agree, the small format is off putting. But, if it’s the only way to get good material then I’m in.
Gwen: This looks pretty interesting. I've been on a crime story kick recently so at the moment this is very appealing. Although female serial killers are somewhat rare.

CINDERELLA: FROM FABLETOWN WITH LOVE #1 Written by Chris Roberson Art by Shawn McManus Cover by Chrissie Zullo When supernatural artifacts from the Homelands begin surfacing in the modern world, it falls to Cinderella, Fabletown's best kept (and best dressed) secret agent to stop the illegal trafficking. But can Cindy foil the dark plot before Fabletown and its hidden, exiled inhabitants are exposed once and for all?And how does her long lost Fairy Godmother factor into the equation?Whether she's soaring through clouds, deep-sea diving, or cracking jaws, Cindy travels from Manhattan to Dubai and hooks up with a handsome, familiar accomplice who may be harboring secret motives of his own. Meanwhile, trouble brews back home in Fabletown when Cindy's overworked, underappreciated assistant decides to seize control of The Glass Slipper, Cindy's exclusive shoe boutique.Writer Chris Roberson (occasional contributor to HOUSE OF MYSTERY and JACK OF FABLES), artist Shawn McManus (SANDMAN, THESSALY: WITCH FOR HIRE) and evocative new cover painter Chrissie Zullo deliver Cindy's first major solo adventure replete with sex, spies and magical shoes in the 6-issue CINDERELLA: FROM FABLETOWN WITH LOVE.On Sale November 4 • 1 of 6 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US • MATURE READERS
Jim: Cindy gets her own mini-series, awesome! I have loved this character in Fables and hope that Willingham is acting as a mentor for Roberson on this story. McManus artwork is a big plus.
Lee: McManus’s art has always left me cold. I’m all for more Fables though.
Gwen: AWESOME! I am really looking forward to this. Cinderella has always been an excellent character in the Fables world and I hope that her own mini-series will live up to my high expectations.

BATGIRL BUSTDESIGNED BY AMANDA CONNER SCULPTED BY JACK MATHEWS She shakes a pretty mean cape.Batgirl joins the third series of WOMEN OF THE DC UNIVERSE busts! Limited edition. Manufactured to order.Advance-solicited; on sale April 14, 2010 * Bust * $60 US

Jim: The whole “Women of DC Busts” line cracks me up, but what is with Batgirl making a mask with her fingers while she has a mask on?
Gwen: Maybe she forgot she has a mask. Besides, all the cool kids know that finger-masks are hip.
Lee: So the “Pulp Fiction” reference is supposed to make this more appealing to the general public? But, to harp on an old theme, Marvel’s only been doing statues for what? 10 years? DC has to do something new already.
Jim: Lee, you know DC has been doing statues for at least 15 years.

WOMEN OF THE DC UNIVERSE SERIES 3:

Jim: What the hell is this? Look how thin her arms are, the heck with it being Lynda Carter, it looks more like old anorexic Wonder Woman. If I was Lynda Carter I’d be suing for slander or something. No way I want a statue of haggard Wonder Woman.
Gwen: Lynda Carter was a nice looking woman and all but she never struck me as tough enough to portray Wonder Woman. Diana's personality should have been more warrior-like.
Lee: Maybe you forget that Lynda Carter did WW in the 70’s. Trust me, it didn’t matter who did WW, she wasn’t going to be more warrior-like in the 70’s. The only good thing about this is that it actually looks like Carter.

Jim: No sire, no way I buy old skank Wonder Woman, but stripper Wonder Girl and Wonder Woman, heck yes. In looking at these statues they seem to have forgotten to say they come with a stripper pole and if you spray the statue lightly with water their clothes will disappear and then reappear after they dry. Get me some dollar bills I’ll be at the Wotta Women strip club tonight. Yea-ha!
Gwen: Boys ><
Lee: Oh no, this is all about girls!!! I just wanna know how WW gets her hair to stick up like that. Must take A LOT of hairspray.

Jim: Well I have forgotten all about the books and I’m now counting the days waiting for my stripper Wonder girls statues.
Gwen: Ok, it's fairly sad but I didn't have all that much to say from a positive point of view this month. The Wondergirl statue is unnecessarily naked by the way.
Lee: More of the same blah if you ask me. Ick.
