Cover by TIM BRADSTREET
“Shoot,” Warren Ellis’s much-talked about, but never published story, involving schoolyard killings leads this mega-sized VERTIGO RESURRECTION Special. Also included are rarely seen tales exploring the disturbing depths of horror, war, romance and science fiction by Brian Azzarello, Brian Bolland, Garth Ennis, Grant Morrison, Jim Lee, Peter Milligan, Bill Willingham, Bernie Wrighston and more!
On sale OCTOBER 20 • 96 pg, FC, $7.99 US • MATURE READERS
Jim: Now this is very interesting. I think I understand why Levitz scuttled this book as Columbine had just happened, but I’m glad to see it is now being published. I bet it still stirs up some groups.
Lee: Controversy is always good for sales.
Gwen: Again, I’m not interested. It seems to be a random grouping of stories - like a comic book reader’s digest.

THE GREEN LANTERN OMNIBUS VOL. 1 HC
Written by JOHN BROOME and GARDNER FOX
Art by GIL KANE, MURPHY ANDERSON and others
Cover by GIL KANE & KEVIN NOWLAN
Collecting SHOWCASE #22-24 and GREEN LANTERN #1-21 in a massive new hardcover! These are the tales that introduced Hal Jordan and feature his induction into the Green Lantern Corps. Also included are the intros of the Guardians of the Universe, Star Sapphire, Sinestro and more!
On sale NOVEMBER 24 • 640 pg, FC $75.00 US
Jim: Damn this contains a heck of lot of material for only $75, but I’m sticking with my Archives. I wonder if this is oversized and if it is the lighter paper?
Lee: I can’t believe DC is entering the Omnibus market. I hear more shelves across America breaking as I type this.
Gwen: It’s true - these books are hard on cheaper bookshelves.

END OF NATIONS #1
Written by RICARDO SANCHEZ
Art by YVEL GUICHET
Cover by CHRIS SPROUSE & KARL STORY

Economic disaster brought world governments to their knees. Industrialized nations, for the first time, experienced hunger and poverty on a scale not seen outside the most stricken third-world countries. The Order of Nations, a new world power, stepped into the chaos and restored order, imposing a tyrannical rule. But they pushed too hard and people everywhere began to openly challenge them.
Follow the story of one resistance group as they struggle against the totalitarian regime of the Order of Nations in this 4-issue miniseries based on the highly anticipated, massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game End of Nations from publisher Trion Worlds and developer Petroglyph!
On sale OCTOBER 27 • 1 of 4 • 32 pg, FC, $3.99 US
Jim: So Wildstorm does game adaptations now and that is it? I have no clue of the identity of Wildstorm anymore.
Lee: Is Wildstorm still publishing comics?
Gwen: I can’t stand game adaptation stories (usually). They hardly ever work out since game stories are meant to be interactive.

Jim: I guess movie tie-ins sell because they are churning out crap anytime a movie hits the theatres. At least the trailer for Red looks like it will be a good movie.
Lee: The Losers looked like it was going to be a good movie and it wasn’t. This is just flooding the market to support the movie.
Gwen: I’m not familiar with this material but I stick to watching Burn Notice for this type of genre.
Jim: I recently watched Losers and it was a good movie, it did not do well at the box office but it was a good action movie.

TWO-STEP TP
Written by WARREN ELLIS
Art by AMANDA CONNER & JIMMY PALMIOTTI
Cover by AMANDA CONNER
The fast-paced, 3-issue miniseries is finally collected along with Warren Ellis’s script for issue #1! In a near-future London, Tony Ling’s a Zen gangster. Rosi Blades is a bored camgirl. They’ve never met, but this unlikely pair is about to embark on the chase of a lifetime down the crowded streets of the city.
On sale NOVEMBER 17 • 128 pg, FC, $19.99 US • MATURE READERS
Jim: Another Ellis book being reprinted. Between Vertigo resurrected, a Jack Cross reprint and this it looks like DC is sucking up to Ellis. Ellis should consider doing something more mainstream because lately he has been irrelevant.
Lee: I just don’t care anymore. I have enough trouble reading all the new material without going back and reading series that are ok but not great.
Gwen: Again, something I don’t care about. I really prefer new stuff to random reprints.

FABLES #100
Written by BILL WILLINGHAM and MARK BUCKINGHAM
Art by MARK BUCKINGHAM, BILL WILLINGHAM, CHRISSIE ZULLO, JOAO RUAS and STEVE LEIALOHA
Cover by JOAO RUAS
In this fantastic 100-page issue, it’s time to put an end to Mister Dark once and for all, and time for the Fables to return home to Fabletown. For that to happen, one of the Fables agrees to take on the Dark Man in single combat! It’s big, it’s epic, and if you live in New York City, you may want to take a quick vacation when this issue comes out, because things are going to get wrecked!
In addition to the larger-than-life main story, we have a FABLES prose story written by Mark Buckingham and illustrated by Bill Willingham! We have an All-Star Burning Questions section that will knock your socks off (seriously, innocent people are going to lose some socks here). We have a puppet theatre created by the unstoppably creative Mark Buckingham, a FABLES board game, sequential stories painted by Chrissie Zullo and Joao Ruas, and even more surprises in this square-bound behemoth celebrating this award-winning Vertigo series!
On sale NOVEMBER 24 • 100 pg, FC, $9.99 US MATURE READERS
Jim: Wow, hard to believe. This has been a very good series, at times excellent.
Lee: Agreed, this is a great accomplishment. I wonder if Willingham has an ending in mind?
Gwen: Very cool. I am super excited about this book - Fables has been a solid book for almost 100 issues now and that rarely happens.

BATMAN BLACK & WHITE STATUE: THE JOKER BY LEE BERMEJO
DESIGNED BY LEE BERMEJO • SCULPTED BY JEAN ST. JEAN
From fan-favorite artist Lee Bermejo! The next Batman Black and White statue is based on Bermejo’s art from the critically acclaimed hardcover graphic novel JOKER by Brian Azzarello, with art by Lee Bermejo and Mick Gray.
This statue measures approximately 7” high x 5.75” wide x 5.75” deep, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black and white box.
Limited Edition.
On sale March 2, 2011 * Statue * $80 US
Jim: Normally I just mock this stuff, but this statue looks very cool.
Lee: Not $80 cool it doesn’t. I wasn’t in love with the Ledger Joker so this is an easy, easy pass for me.
Gwen: I’m not a huge fan of the statues. Action figures are more fun! Although there was a cool Death statue around about 10 years or so ago.

AME-COMI HEROINE SERIES: SUPERGIRL (V.1) BLACK SUIT VARIANT PVC FIGURE
SCULPTED BY JACK MATHEWS
From good girl to bad … from blue to black!
Supergirl joins the dark side as part of the popular Ame-Comi series!
As a good girl gone bad, Supergirl is super sleek in her all-black costume, taking a walk – or flight – on the wild side. Never one to start an apocalypse on purpose, this black-suited beauty is a mighty mischief-maker. No mild-mannered behavior from this future female fury!
Packaged in a 4-color window box with J-hook, this non-articulated PVC statue stands approximately 9” high and includes a display base.
On sale March 9, 2011 * Statue * $60 US
Jim: WHO IS BUYING THIS STUFF??????
Lee: YEAH GWEN WHY DON’T YOU COSPLAY LIKE THIS???? I LIKE TALKING IN ALL CAPITOLS.
Gwen: I don’t cosplay like that because I’d rather not be arrested, thanks.

Jim: Big Bat month and a lot of odd things being published by DC. It looks like with Two-Face in charge (Didio and Lee) we are starting to see a different publishing philosophy.
Lee: Actually, it seems to be more of the same as last month. Just another giant event.
Gwen: Lots of reprints that I don’t care about but at least there’s Fables #100.
