Star Trek Memories: And How It Helped Point Me to the Love of My Life

Well, I'm finally getting around to the post I alluded to ten days ago for Star Trek's 60th anniversary.  And the celebrations continue for me as I'm thoroughly enjoying re-watching the first series' episodes, some by myself and some with my wife. That shared enjoyment of the series began a long time ago and was a key factor in knowing she'd be a suitable mate for me. So let's slingshot around the sun and go back in time from somewhat recently to a long, long time ago...(Sorry, wrong franchise)

I made a foray to my secret library to retrieve some Star Trek comics the other day, two of which were the late-1986/early-1987 mini-series by DC Comics, Who's Who in Star Trek.  Contained within are some great pieces of art by some classic creators, old and new (at the time).  I thought it might be nice to share some with you (quite a bit actually):

Note: At this time, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home had premiered a few weeks earlier (before issue #1) with the newly christened Enterprise 1701-A, and  Star Trek: The Next Generation was still nine months away.  You could say the Star Trek universe was pregnant with possibilities! [and I was a junior in high school]
