War on the Middle Class - Book Giveaway Update

The books finally showed from Amazon and I will be mailing out copies or getting them to the people who responded. It is hard to raise awareness when I could not even give away all the copies I wanted to give away. I still have one left to give away.

Thanks to those of you who showed an interest and remember the deal was you have to read at least 50 pages of it.

UPDATE:

The books were sent out in the mail today (Tuesday June 19) to all whom asked for one. Matt - I will leave yours at the store and Gwen I will mail yours next Monday.

Let me know what you think about the book and if you think its true or if you think that Lou Dobbs is off base.

  1. I can't guarantee how long it will take me to read those 50 pages, but I definitely will.

On another subject, my amazon order for the New Gods Omnibus has been delayed again. Knowing its printed on something like "white cloud" is it worth it?

  2. Matthew - Is it worth it? I don't think so. When you have Marvel doing Planet Hulk on nice paper and oversized with a ton of pages for $40 and this for $50, it feels like a rip-off. Just the same paper they used for the Neal Adams Batman Volumes would have been better.

  3. Matthew - read the commentary over at Savage Critic about the paper. I don't have my copy yet but just to get all the material in one place.. IN HARDCOVER. Makes it worth it. Could it have been done better... probably. Will you be glad you have it? I bet so.

Maybe they were going for the old comic paper feel?

Now if they could only get that old bubblegum smell that books seem to get!

  4. Jim... read the book? You never said anything about reading!!! This is a farce I say! F-A-R-C-E!

The Republican's don't ask me to read. They only ask that I believe.

You green party geeks (GPG's) are awfully pushy about this reading thing.

What's next? Thinking for myself! EEEEWWWWWW

  6. Looks like I got to the store before you did this week. I took off early to walk my kids home from school on the last day - didn't go so well. My son's backpack, must of weighed about 50 lbs!!! And I had to carry it...
